My name is Snehal Shekatkar, and I am an Assistant professor in the Department of Computing and Data Sciences in the FLAME University, Pune, India. In the past, I was a DST INSPIRE faculty in the "Department of Scientific Computing, modeling and simulation, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India". I was also a post-doctoral researcher at the Complexity Science Hub, Vienna in Austria.

I hold a Ph.D in Physics from IISER Pune, and my current research is mainly related to "Nonlinear Dynamics", "Complex networks" and "Data science", although I occasionally also find myself enjoying problems from "Number theory".

I also worry a lot about greedy companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and many others including many governments collecting data of billions of users to profile, manupulate, and control them. Unfortunately, most people are either unaware of this, or don't appreciate how serious this problem is for all of us. See Social Cooling.
